This notice explains how Picklo Shimoga ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you use our website and court-booking service. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). We are the Data Fiduciary for the data described below.
We ask only for what we need to run bookings. Date of birth is optional and matters only where a guardian manages a child's account.
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you create your account, for these purposes only:
We will not use your data for any new purpose without asking you again.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with Razorpay to process your payments (see Razorpay's Privacy Policy), and with authorities where the law requires it.
We keep your account and booking data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we remove your name and contact details immediately; the underlying booking and payment records are kept in anonymised form for as long as tax and accounting law requires (currently up to 8 years), after which they are deleted. Inactive accounts with no bookings for several years may be anonymised.
Under the DPDP Act you can:
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the Picklo account and make the bookings. By doing so, the guardian gives consent on the child's behalf as the DPDP Act requires, and agrees to our Terms & Conditions. We do not knowingly let a child set up or run an account on their own, and we never use a child's data for tracking, advertising or profiling. If you believe a child is managing an account without a guardian, contact our grievance officer and we will act on it.
Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing. Sessions use server-side tokens and are invalidated on logout. All forms use CSRF protection and the site is served over HTTPS. If a data breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. It is essential to the service and is deleted when you log out. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
For any question or complaint about your data, contact our Grievance Officer:
We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new date, and you will be asked to review and agree the next time you log in.
